Manager Privacy Policy
Draft v0.1 · Sep 29, 2026
This policy covers home service businesses ("Managers") and their team members who use HomeDaddyPro. Homeowners are covered by the separate Homeowner Privacy Policy.
We play two roles with data, and the difference matters
| Data | Our role | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Information about you, your business and your team | Owner (controller) | We decide how it is used, within this policy |
| Information about your clients that you upload or collect | Service provider (processor) | We use it only to run the Platform for you, on your instructions |
| A homeowner's own Home Record | Owner, on the homeowner's behalf | The homeowner decides who sees it, including which Manager |
What we never do: sell your data or your clients' data; use your client list to market to your clients; share your pricing with other Managers.
1. What we collect about you and your business
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Account and contact | Owner and team names, emails, phone numbers, login credentials | You |
| Business verification | Legal name, EIN, address, service area, licenses, insurance certificates, bond info | You; public license and business registries |
| Public reputation | Online reviews and ratings | Public websites |
| Payment and payout | Bank account for payouts, tax ID, identity verification | You, collected directly by our payment processor [Stripe]; we see only limited details such as the last four digits |
| Business activity | Services offered, pricing, memberships, jobs, estimates, invoices, schedules, messages | You and your use of the Platform |
| Device and usage | IP address, browser, device type, pages and features used, crash logs | Automatically |
| Location | Approximate location from IP; precise location only if you enable it for job check-in or routing | Your device, with permission |
| Communications | Support chats, emails, calls, feedback | You |
We do not ask for Social Security numbers except where our payment processor needs them for identity verification or tax reporting, and then the processor collects them directly.
2. How we use it and who we share it with
2.1 We use your information to: run and secure the Platform; verify your business, licenses and insurance; process payments and payouts; show your public Manager profile to homeowners; send service, billing and legal notices; provide support; prevent fraud and abuse; improve the product using usage data; meet tax and legal obligations; and, with opt-out, send you product news.
2.2 What homeowners see. Your public Manager profile shows your business name, logo, service area, services, verification badges with their review date, and [ratings]. Your pricing is visible only to your own Clients and to homeowners you send estimates to.
2.3 Who we share with:
- Your Clients and homeowners you engage: the information needed to book, perform and bill their work.
- Your Circle of Trust Contractors: only the job details you choose to share with them.
- Service providers working for us: hosting, payments, email and SMS delivery, customer support, analytics and identity verification. They are bound by contract to use data only for us.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect people, property or the Platform.
- Business transfer: in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy's commitments.
2.4 We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Client Data: our commitments as your service provider
When you upload or collect information about your clients (names, addresses, contact details, home details, photos, job notes, payment history), we act as your service provider. For that data we commit to:
- Process it only to provide the Platform to you, and for security, fraud prevention and legal compliance.
- Not sell or share it, and not use it to market to your clients or to recruit them for another Manager.
- Not combine it with data from other Managers to build profiles of individual homeowners.
- Limit staff access to people who need it to support you, under confidentiality obligations.
- Require our vendors to meet the same standard.
- Help you respond to your clients' privacy requests (access, correction, deletion) within the time the law requires.
- Notify you without undue delay of a security incident affecting it.
- Return it through export, and delete it after account closure, as described in section 4.
Your side. You are responsible for telling your clients how you use their information, getting any consent the law requires (including for texts), and uploading only data you are allowed to share.
Home Records are different. A homeowner's vault documents, home passport and profile belong to the homeowner. You can see them while you are their selected Manager. If they switch Managers or close their account, your access ends, but your own job and invoice records remain yours.
4. Security, retention, rights and contact
4.1 Security. We encrypt data in transit and at rest, restrict internal access by role, log access to sensitive records, and offer two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure; we tell you promptly if an incident affects your data.
4.2 Retention.
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Active account data | While your account is open |
| Business and Client Data after you cancel | [60] days for export, then deleted |
| Payment, tax and transaction records | As long as tax and financial law requires, typically [7] years |
| Backups | Overwritten within [35] days |
| De-identified, aggregated data | May be kept indefinitely |
4.3 Your rights. You can access, correct, export and delete your information from your account settings or by emailing [info@homedaddy.co]. Depending on your state, you may have further rights, such as to know what we collect, to opt out of certain processing, or to appeal a decision on your request. We will not treat you differently for using them. We verify requests before acting on them.
4.4 Cookies and analytics. We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and analytics tools to understand product use. We do not use advertising cookies inside the app.
4.5 Children. HomeDaddyPro is a business service and not directed to anyone under 18.
4.6 Location. We store data in the United States.
4.7 Changes. We give at least 30 days' notice of material changes by email and in the app.
4.8 Contact. [HomeDaddy LLC] · [info@homedaddy.co]
